A Companion to EXPLORATIONS: Forthcoming

If you're kind enough to be a regular reader here, you may remember my announcement about my grandiose scheme to provide every possible reader with the spanking and/or BDSM fiction that they would like best. The first step in realizing that scheme was the release of The First Notebook of Emily Orn Wilkes, Secret Countess of Wessulk, which gathers together the first of three projected parts of the Victorian material (though frankly I can imagine Victorian Emily having many more adventures than that, and old documents are always coming to light. . .)

People have said nice things about the first notebook, and that's encouraged me to go through with the next part of the megalomaniacal plan: A Companion to EXPLORATIONS, Part 1. The companion will organize the narrative posts from this blog into a highly readable form that tells the story of writing the stories of the books of EXPLORATIONS. You know me and meta, by now.

Anyway, that of course means that I'll be taking those posts down and leaving little teasers behind, so this is your fair warning to copy and paste them now, if you want to deprive me of sales. . . (See, I know you don't want to do that, because you're so very kind.) I'm hopeful that $3.99 isn't too much to pay for 27,000 polished words expressing my inmost thoughts about spanking and BDSM, and telling the super-hot story of "my" early relationship with Charles, neatly organized for one-handed reading.

Here's the obligatory tease:
The next thing that happened was that I found a copy of the first terrible, slender book I ever saw, Aphrodizzia, in my best friend's father's desk (this is the friend called "Sarah Cleveland" in EXPLORATIONS). Discovering The Pearl had led to series of deductions about the way the erotic world worked, including the insight that has never since played me false, that there are more people who are into BDSM than you'd ever think. Until I finally developed the courage to acquire erotica for myself (senior year in college--though even that development was still marred by the periodic purifications I would carry out, putting all my porn into an opaque bag, putting that bag in another opaque bag, and finding a dumpster to throw the package into) this insight made me a really awful snoop, for which I'm thoroughly ashamed. That copy of Aphrodizzia was my greatest find, but there were many, many others.
I did not steal it. I did take every possible opportunity to read it, over the course of a few weeks, to the point that I committed much of it to memory. Standing there in Sarah's Dad's office, with my back turned to the door so that no one could see that my hand was inside my jeans, I would read furiously, melting. The first time I came in Sarah's Dad's office I was so ashamed that it was months before I dared open the desk-drawer again. The book was gone.
And the blurb (buy the book here!):
It was a look of appraisal; I don't think there's another way to put it. Charles Smith appraised me as a possible anal-submissive, and I felt searched out and known as I never, ever had before.
This companion, drawn from Emily's blog, tells the story of her early relationship with her husband Charles, and of the way she came to write the first version of the Explorations series. Please note that most of the content of this book has appeared on the blog, though it is no longer available there.
This companion to EXPLORATIONS contains fiction elaborating the following sorts of fantasy that you may wish to avoid: Mf, spanking, anal. It's intended for over-18 audiences who, like me, are interested in exploring the lines between pleasure and pain, dominance and submission, and fantasy and reality. All characters depicted are consenting adults.
